Weekend Picks: Winterfest Tree Lighting, Cocktail And Beer Festivals, Amy Schumer, BalletX And More

Happy weekend, Philly!

Say goodbye to November and hello to December with delicious drinks — hot and cold — at the Philly Winter Warmup (Friday and Saturday), Valley Forge Beer and Cider Festival (Saturday) and the Coffee and Tea Festival (Saturday and Sunday). Cheers!

Those looking to dive nto the holidays can check out the Brandywine River Museum of Art’s popular Holiday Critter Sale, where handcrafted ornaments are available to purchase all weekend long. Friday’s Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest tree lighting illuminates the winter destination with a musically synched light show, and the Philly POPS kick off nearly a month of performances with the Christmas Spectacular Sounds of the Season.

There are plenty of options for the less holiday-oriented as well, including the analog-focused mega gaming convention PAX Unplugged, which offers tournament, demonstrations and panels all weekend. Three choreographers present world premieres at BalletX this weekend, and three museums host sensory-friendly experiences on Sunday.

Give yourself extra time to explore Philly this weekend with the Visit Philly Overnight Hotel Package, valued up to $218.
