24 Awesome Things To Do In Philly, February 11-18

It’s a lovely (and extra-long) week to get out and about in Philly!

Valentine’s Day is a week-long affair in the city this year, with events geared toward couples, singles and everyone in between at places like FringeArts, Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest and Peddler’s Village.

The African American Museum in Philadelphia and Taller Puertorriqueño both host Black History Month events this week. The former collaborates with Theatre in the X on a thought-provoking fictional museum and performance piece, while the latter hosts a special dance program featuring the Kulu Mele African Dance and Drum Ensemble.

Two Pennsylvania Convention Center events — the Big Philly Beerfest and the Tattoo Arts Convention — are sure to draw large crowds, as is the Philly Home + Garden Show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, which attracts visitors looking for indoor and outdoor design inspiration.

And Monday, February 18 is Presidents Day, when museums and attractions like the Museum of the American Revolution, the National Constitution Center, Washington Crossing Historic Park and more honor those who held the office of Commander in Chief with special events and programming. We’ve included events on Monday, February 18 in this week’s edition of Picks of the Week.

Stay overnight in Philly to experience all there is to see and do through Presidents Day. Book the Visit Philly Overnight Hotel Package — or the Visit Philly Live Nation Hotel Package, if attending a Live Nation Philadelphia show — to make the most of the extra-long weekend.
