Philly ushers in the last full week of winter (yes!) with more than 20 exciting events and things to do.
Food and beer enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to this week, as King of Prussia Restaurant Week begins, Tannery Run Brew Works opens in Ambler and Fishtown bar and venue Johnny Brenda’s hosts its 11th Annual Stout Brunch, featuring a variety of delicious dark beers on tap from local and national breweries.
As always, St. Patrick’s Day is a week-long affair in the city, with events celebrating Irish heritage, folklore and food and drink at places like The Bourse Food Hall, Laurel Hill Cemetery and Peddler’s Village.
Spots around the city also continue to celebrate the contributions of historic and modern-day women during Women’s History Month with living-history performances, museum tours and even an early-morning dance party.
And while it’s the last week to see some excellent performing arts shows (specifically the Pennsylvania Ballet’s Giselle and BalletX’s Spring Series), two notable film festivals kick off in the days ahead. The Women’s Film Festival aims to inspire, celebrate and unite women working in the film and entertainment industry, while the Israeli Film Festival highlights stories about the Israeli experience and culture.
