Weekend Picks: St. Patrick’s Day, Meek Mill, The Women’s Film Festival And More

This weekend in Philly is packed with green-infused celebrations, film festival screenings and highly anticipated concerts.

St. Patrick’s Day revelers can observe the holiday throughout the weekend at events like an outdoor pub night in Chestnut Hill (Friday), a tribute to the deceased at Laurel Hill Cemetery (Saturday) and a .5k trot (not a typo!) around the block at Evil Genius Beer Company (Sunday).

The Women’s Film Festival continues all weekend with a series of panel discussions and documentaries, and the Israeli Film Festival begins its 23rd season on Saturday.

Out in Philadelphia’s Countryside, Tannery Run Brew Works hosts its grand opening in Ambler this weekend, and nearby King of Prussia wraps up Restaurant Week meal deals Sunday — but not before a visit from beloved Flyers mascot Gritty (Saturday).

And speaking of beloved Philadelphians, rapper and criminal justice advocate Meek Mill takes the stage for two sold-out performances at The Met Philadelphia this weekend. (Verified resale tickets are still available.)

Meek’s show is part of the Visit Philly Live Nation Hotel Package, which features up to $230 in show-enhancing perks, including free hotel and concert parking, complimentary food and drinks during the show and other bonuses.

And don’t miss a chance to turn a fun weekend into a sleepover. Book the Visit Philly Overnight Hotel Package for a weekend getaway featuring more than $200 in free perks.
