Exciting culinary events, rich cultural showcases and fun-filled Easter festivities are on the schedule for another delightful spring week ahead in Philadelphia.
Egg-cellent spots like Gorgas Park, Tyler Arboretum and Peddler’s Village host Easter egg hunts and other holiday-related events this week. One of the biggest events of the season, the jubilant South Street Headhouse District Easter Promenade, draws crowds dressed in their Sunday best for the 88th year in a row (!).
All eyes are on the city’s culinary movers and shakers this week as well at the StarChefs Philadelphia Rising Stars event, where the 20 recipients of StarChefs magazine’s Rising Stars awards plate up some of their most delicious dishes to pair.
Still hungry? Manayunk Restaurant Week offers meal deals at nearly 15 of the neighborhood’s restaurants beginning on Monday. And Thursday brings Dining Out for Life, an event that puts thousands of patrons in seats at participating restaurants to help raise funds for HIV/AIDS service organizations.
Also coming up: the African American History and Cultural Showcase at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, opening day at Morgan’s Pier and the Tiny Room for Elephants festival at Cherry Street Pier.
